Uni Kuru Toga "HIGH GRADE"... interesting specimen...

Hey... I am back. Just received my Uni Kuru Toga "HIGH GRADE"... it is quite different from the original Kuru Toga, with a more "technical" look.

It is a nice looking pencil... my version is a 0.3mm that writes really well and smooth, just like my "old" 0.5mm original KT.

Have you tested it yet? Let me know what do you think.
My first impressions were good, but I miss the all transparent mechanism window - here, we only have a small circular window with the rotating KT logo.

Parker Vector

I wanted to post my first comment on something that I like very much: my old Parker Vector mechanical pencil.

This was my Grandfather's gift in some 1980's Christmas; came with a matching roller ball (that, unfortunately, someone who borrowed it from me broken... good learning...), and is one of my preferred items on my small collection (certainly, the most loved one).

With the all stainless steel construction, it looks like being heavy, but it is actually very light and with an incredible good grip (without the need for any special grip-enhancement mechanism). Like all the Parkers, it is elegant and good looking when in your shirt pocket.

Internally, a small eraser that is not really usable; too small, too hard. Works better as the lead compartment door. The clutch mechanism is competent, with any special feature added, but firm and with good stable lead advancement through pushing the upper part of the pencil.

In summary, a really nice instrument, extremely good looking (at least for my taste), and with a smooth and stable writing experience.

Welcome to my blog!

I started to think about to create a blog as soon as I saw Dave's Mechanical Pencils page. So, here is my contribution to that group of people to like fine instruments to write... many times, not the expensive ones, but certainly the coolest :)

So, very soon I will publish my first post on my small collection...
